Lake Fork Stable’s 2 year old Thoroughbred Colt, Follow My Path (Wilburn x Abra Joy), has completed his first Future Event Horse (FEH) 2 yr. Old Class at Feather Creek Farm in Norman, Oklahoma under the expertise of Nikki Littrell of Starstruck Eventing, placing 3rd with a score of 70.55. He was just a point and a half away from qualifying for the FEH Championships at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler.

This show was a very important milestone in his career however. The show was his very first horse show and he kept his level headed and sensible attitude about him the entire time. Due to a variety of reason, I could not go to the show with him, so I asked Nikki Littrell if she could take him along with Windhaven Ranch’s Poseidon, who was competing as a yearling at the event. I could not be happier with how well Nikki took care of him. Path was braided for the first time, took a 4 hour trip that had an unscheduled tire replacement along the way and then competed for the first time. He and Poseidon were excellent gentleman not only for Nikki, but the judges as well. The judges remarks will most definitely help us at his next event and she noted multiple times at how well-behaved he was.
